2025 has been an eventful year in a multitude of ways but it has been a chance to reflect on the growth and creativity experienced both on a personal level and through Zortex. In this post, we will recap the events that have occurred this year for Zortex, but also what I've learned throughout the year.

A fountain pen rests on an open notebook with handwritten cursive text, creating a thoughtful and nostalgic mood.

A recap:

  • Henry's Home released

  • Photography Course was launched

  • Zortex Finance Bundle was created

  • The Meet Cute Curse was released

Every year, we add more content to assist you on your journey of personal development. Whether it's helping out your business, or enriching your personal life, our aim is to provide you with the tools to do so.

Our two fiction pieces are Henry's Home (a story based on the real-life rescue dog named Henry) and The Meet Cute Curse (a story about starting over again in your thirties). For your business, we launched a beginners photography course to help you take high-quality photos easily, as well as building a finance bundle which has all the financial templates you need to track information in your business without the need for paying a software subscription fee.

As well as launching new products, we are active on our social channels (predominantly Instagram and Facebook this year). We've taken a break from YouTube in the second half of the year in order to ensure the content we do put out is of value, not just to please an algorithm.

Our last YouTube video was a review of Fenty and Florence beauty brands - looking into their businesses and what can be learnt when working on your own branding and marketing.

We have weekly blog posts to help inspire our community with helpful tips and advice, as well as posts that share thoughts on current media, such as books and films. These blog posts enable us to enhance the creative side of Zortex through regular writing to aid you on your personal development journey.

Creativity is the crux of personal development. In order to move forward, we must be creative. All great inventions have come from an idea and some element of creativity. Landmarks, art pieces, fashion, all come from creativity. Creativity allows us to grow. If we were to remain doing only the same thing and having the same thoughts throughout our entire life, we would remain in the same place.

Personal development is crucial to lead a fulfilling life, but the journey of personal development looks different to everyone. In fact, even for one person, that journey will constantly be changing. There will be times when personal development will be focusing on health, other times when it'll mean facing fears, and there will be times when personal development means taking a risk to chase your dreams.

This year, personal development for me has meant slowing down and finding balance. Not always putting work and projects first, but taking the time to focus on being present in life. Achieving goals and always improving things has been a part of my ethos for as long as I can remember, but it has also meant that I have neglected other aspects of life. That's what this year has taught me: to slow down, look after myself and not keep adding to the 'to-do list'.

The aim of Zortex has always been to help other people on their personal development journey. To provide the tools to overcome life's challenges and assist them in achieving their goals. But it's become more than that. It's also a platform for creativity. We have our fiction books and photography portfolio. It's truly a place to allow anyone and everyone to grow on their journey and find their path in life.

This letter from the editor has definitely been an opportunity for self-reflection. 2026 will be a year to establish those creative roots and find that balance in life, between achieving goals and enjoying the moment. After all, a big part of life is enjoying the journey, not just the destination.
